Gifts to the Annual Fund provides vital support for every aspect of CCHS’s mission to preserve history and share stories with the community.

Gifts of Stock
Donating appricated securities, including stocks or bonds, is one of the most tax advantaged ways to make charitable gifts. With careful planning, gifts of stock can reduce capital gains taxes, are eligible for charitable income tax deduction, and further the mission of Society and museum.

Matching Gifts
Double the impact of a gift to CCHS, Stretch contributions to the Society with qualifying matching gifts from employers. Many employers match contributions dollar for dollar, or evem=n more, Some companies will even match membership support, depending on program requirements. Find out if a company participates in matching gift programs by contacting its Human Resources, Personnel or Commuinty Relations Department and follow their instructions.

Planned Giving

Thoughtful estate planning can meet your individual goals, secure your family’s future, strengthen the museum for years to come, serve as an example to others, demonstrate community-minded values, and foster a lasting commitment to CCHS’s mission by making a planned gift.

A bequest is one of the easiest planned gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift be made to CCHS as part of your estate plan. Giving in this way can generate a charitable estate tax deduction and substantial tax savings.

Those who include the museum in their estate plans become members of the Legacy Society to honor your dedication to the future of CCHS. You will Also be invited to join private exhibit tours, celebrations, and other special events.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Make a gift to CCHS in memory or honor of a friend or loved one, and share their legacy with the CCHS community. To make a memorial or tribute gift, include the person’s name when donating. The museum will then notify the party or family members that a gift has been made in his or her name. All memorial or honorary gifts are directed to the General or Restricted fund unless otherwise instructed.
